This is just to say
we have eaten
a few blueberries
from the hedge
instead of dropping them into buckets
to be weighed
Forgive us
we were young
and feeling young
and the blueberries
were the size of grapes
warm and dark blue
from the sun

it’s pretty much impossible to not eat them as you go. i’m sure you’re in good company. 🙂
