My Space

in Uncategorized on 21/02/12

I made myself a little writing spot.

I started by collecting all my materials.

Then we took a trip to IKEA to create this:

This might be my favorite spot in our home.

Somebody else likes to work in here, too.

The other night I was sitting at my desk and she walked in the room.

“Mama?  Are you writing?”

“Yes.”

“OK.  I’ll go get some books to read while you write.”

Can you see her in the reflection?  She’s reading.  All by herself. She filled a crate of books and pushed it to the bed, then sat there and read all of them.

What I was working on didn’t seem that important for the time, anyway. So I snapped a picture to try and capture she and I in the reflection of the window. You can’t see me so well, but she’s there. And I am sitting here now, recording our little moment together.

In my space.

Love your writing space (it’s so important to have a spot where your muse knows she can find you), and I love this:

    Mama? Are you writing?”

    “Yes.”

“OK. I’ll go get some books to read while you write.”

How happy it makes me to see Tell It Slant on top of your pile! And The Inspiration Deck, which I have from a grad school friend. I’m smiling seeing your space, Callie!
