Not So Wild Geese

in Uncategorized on 07/09/22

Jesse and I, we went to Lexington, Kentucky for a few days this summer. We found and drank some good bourbon. We found a coffee shop with a sign that read, “Muggles Tolerated.” We found an Irish store the size of a leprechaun and I looked at Fishermen sweaters and we bought a bag of soda bread mix with a… View Post

Light + Dark + Corby + Meetings

I’m interested in staying in this story about Eve and Mary and Jesus and Judas and the rest of them. I’m willing to wrestle and doubt and consider grace. I believe in this insane story about a Being that is bursting with love all there is to do is create and create and create and set it all loose and… View Post

“The Details of Unremarkable Days”

in Uncategorized on 09/08/22

-quote from Revan Schendler I learned about a course at a local college called, ‘The Study of Love” on the same day I came down with Covid. “Came down,” is the perfect phrase for how it happened because one minute I was fine – maybe I had a slight tickle in my throat – and the next thing I knew… View Post

Hi! I’m Callie. I’m a writer and teacher living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I write Creative Nonfiction, and in my oldest daughter Hadley’s words, I “use my imagination to add a bit of sparkle to the story.” I’m a contributor for Coffee+Crumbs, Off the Page, Makes You Mom, and Relief Journal. My writing has also been featured on Art House America, Tweetspeak Poetry, Good Letters, and Altarwork, and in 2014 I was one of the cast members of the Listen To Your Mother DC show.

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University, and I am working on my first book that will be published through TS Poetry Press.
