There’s A Sermon In Here Somewhere

in Uncategorized on 20/10/11

Harper set up a tightrope for her guys to walk on. Everybody lined up because they were excited to give it a try. Some were so excited they fell down. I think the guy in blue pants is STAFF. Anyway, everything was set for the big event until Harper started yelling, “OH JESUS!  JESUS!  HE’S HUNGRY!  HE CAN’T DO THE… View Post

in Uncategorized on 18/10/11

I got a phone call from my doctor’s office telling me that since I was about three years overdue, they would induce me on October 23.  I should be at the hospital at 6am ready to go. “That’s great, but you can’t get me in any sooner?” (Because, you know, isn’t this just like getting a haircut?) “No, but don’t… View Post

The one we went to this morning was around before George Washington was president.  Nice tidbit o’ information, me thinks. I love this picture.  They’re looking at… View Post

Now that we’re… View Post

Hi! I’m Callie. I’m a writer and teacher living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I write Creative Nonfiction, and in my oldest daughter Hadley’s words, I “use my imagination to add a bit of sparkle to the story.” I’m a contributor for Coffee+Crumbs, Off the Page, Makes You Mom, and Relief Journal. My writing has also been featured on Art House America, Tweetspeak Poetry, Good Letters, and Altarwork, and in 2014 I was one of the cast members of the Listen To Your Mother DC show.

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University, and I am working on my first book that will be published through TS Poetry Press.
