Lemme Just Go Ahead And Lead This Clas

in Uncategorized on 08/01/13

Hadley and Harper go to a Zumbatomic class at a local yoga/pilates/zumba studio every week.  I’m not sure how it differs from regular Zumba but I’ll tell you what: it’s 60 minutes of pure F-U-N and I have a very difficult time not joining in.  Hadley would absolutely kill me if I even so much as bop my head, however…. Around Here

I know in the last post I wrote about a writing goal of mine, and I am writing but I’m not writing well.  When I’m not writing well I do things like stamp tissue paper.  I also bake.  Those blueberry muffins?  I made those after I stamped tissue paper.  Oh my goodness, they are so good.  My writing… View Post

29 in 39 Challenge

I know that after you read this post you will probably think I’m a little like Monica Geller or the guy who thinks he’s a doctor in the movie The Dream Team, but people, I am happiest when I make plans, lists, and goals, so this post is about a little challenge I’ve created for myself for my next MFA… View Post

Hi! I’m Callie. I’m a writer and teacher living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I write Creative Nonfiction, and in my oldest daughter Hadley’s words, I “use my imagination to add a bit of sparkle to the story.” I’m a contributor for Coffee+Crumbs, Off the Page, Makes You Mom, and Relief Journal. My writing has also been featured on Art House America, Tweetspeak Poetry, Good Letters, and Altarwork, and in 2014 I was one of the cast members of the Listen To Your Mother DC show.

I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University, and I am working on my first book that will be published through TS Poetry Press.
