Dear Readers,
There’s a story about St. Francis that goes like this: He is ever so in love with the world that he wants to sing. The problem is, he wonders what will happen if no one hears him. An angel tells him not to concern himself with who hears him, but to concern himself with singing because that’s what he desires to do.
So Francis starts to sing. Soon, bird after bird after bird swoop in to bear the melody and join in and soon, there is a rainbow of song.
Thank you for swooping in – some of you for over a decade – and being willing to bear the notes I offer here.
I am now over at Substack, writing on a blog called, “Tell Me A Story That’s True.” You can learn the story behind the title here. I’d also love for you to subscribe to it, if you so choose. I am offering free and paid subscriptions (my first paid series, “The Eve + Mary Diaries,” is running through Christmas).
For now, thank you for the opportunity to listen as I did my best to sing for the love I have for this world.
-Callie
